Robert J. Taylor

Robert J. Taylor, 69, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Bob was born on September 17, 1954 in Lansdale, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Francis and Lucille Roberto Taylor. He graduated from Lansdale Catholic High School in 1972.

After graduating high school, he started his 45 year career at Merck. He made countless friends and life long connections. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and “get it done” attitude. He exemplified what it meant to be dedicated with his enthusiasm and commitment. He retired from Merck in 2017.

After retiring, Bob and Heather moved to Winter Garden, Florida. He loved visiting Florida’s sunny beaches and the Orlando theme parks. He worked part time at Lowe’s for 5 years and quickly became a customer favorite. What brought him the most joy in his golden years and all throughout his life was spending time with his friends and family.

Those who knew and loved Bob will remember him for his welcoming personality and fun, loving spirit. He could bring joy to a room with his infectious smile and joking demeanor. He was always willing to help others with home projects, yard work, or simply helping his boys wax their cars. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and important. He was authentic, respectful, and showed love to all whom he crossed paths with. While he went by Grandfather (Pops), Father, Uncle, and Brother, Bob was “family” to everyone in his life. As a father, he was there during every high and low moment to encourage and guide his kids to be the best that they could be while letting them find their own path.

Bob was a loving husband of 28 years to Heather Taylor. He is survived by five children, Julie Taylor (Jeanette), Robert F. Taylor (Rebekah), Jake Taylor (Jayla), Dylan Taylor, Cole Taylor, and his beloved granddaughter, Jovi Taylor. He is preceded in death by his sisters Debbie and Tina, and survived by brother David and sisters Kathy and Eileen.
