Irene N. Culkar

Irene Culkar of Fern Park, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 7, 2024, at the age of 89. She was a beacon of love, joy and positivity to all who knew her.

Irene’s greatest joy in life was her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by her loved ones, whether it was at a family gathering or simply spending quality time together at home. Her unwavering love and support formed the foundation of her family’s strength and unity.

Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Thom Culkar, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories. Together, they weathered life’s challenges and celebrated its joys, creating a legacy of love and devotion.

Irene was the proud mother of four children, each of whom she cherished beyond measure. Susan Culkar (Marc Posner), Thom Culkar Jr., Joseph Culkar (Tammy Histand), and Steven Culkar (Theresa) were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and the individuals they became. Irene is also survived by three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her brother Donald Hosek (Sylvia) and two nephews.
