Bill Wayne Pennington

Bill Pennington passed away peacefully February 17, 2024 to be with family and friends in the presence of the Lord. He was born on September 1, 1939 to Lena Parrish Pennington.

Lena later married Chester “Chet” Kilcoyne when Bill was very young. Chet retired from the United States Navy. His service allowed the family to move to several locations within the United States. Bill learned the art of auto upholstery and later opened Bill’s Auto Glass and Upholstery until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend weekends in the woods with his family, friends, and his many dogs.

He was a greatly devoted husband, father, grandfather, and even great-grandfather. His family was his greatest source of pride. Bill was a member of Eastern Avenue Baptist Church, St. Cloud, and was a longtime member of the Silver Spurs Club and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of Coca Cola Cowboy and was a longtime member of Kissimmee Elks Lodge #1873. One of his most treasured traits was his sense of humor. He could take a joke, would rather dish them out. He loved to laugh.

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joann. Two sons, Kenny (Carole) and Steve “Ratso” (Fay). Five grandchildren, Chelsea Boehm (Rick), Austin Pennington, Paige Pennington, Steven Pennington and Steven Howell. Five, soon to be six, great-grandchildren. His sister Cindy Peake (Wesley), sister Melinda Smith (Wayne), brother Mike Kilcoyne (Christie), sister Jackie Pennington, and brother James Pennington and four nephews.
