The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation after a woman was found shot to death on Monday morning.
At around 7:40 a.m., OCSO deputies responded to the area of S Goldenrod Road and Nolton Way in Orange County and discovered the body of a woman in her 20s. She had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim’s name was not released by the sheriff’s office.
In a media release on Monday morning, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated that a suspect was “immediately located and secured,” and the incident appears to be “domestic in nature.”
No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office regarding the shooting incident or the identity of the suspect.
The homicide investigation is active and ongoing, according to OCSO.
