Woman killed in ‘domestic’ Orlando shooting, deputies say

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Orlando that claimed the life of a woman early Sunday morning.

At around 2 a.m., OCSO deputies responded to the intersection of S Apopka Vineland Road and Lake Bryan Beach Boulevard in reference to shots being fired in the area, according to the sheriff’s office.

Upon arrival, deputies located a woman in her 30s who had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and she later died from her injuries.

“This incident is domestic in nature and there are no outstanding suspects,” stated OCSO in a media release. The sheriff’s office added that the homicide investigation is “active and ongoing.”

No further details were released regarding the identity of the victim or the suspected shooter.
