Fraud suspect wanted by DeLand police

DeLand police are asking for help from the public in locating a man who is wanted for 18 felony charges related to fraud and fleeing from law enforcement.

In a social media post on Tuesday, the DeLand Police Department stated that its officers are looking for a fraud suspect named Tyler Cherry.

According to police, Cherry is facing a total of 25 charges, 18 of which are felonies. Those charges include fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer, possession of counterfeit cards, fraudulent use of personal identification, and unlawful possession of personal identification.

On February 1, 2024, a judge issued a warrant for Cherry’s arrest, and the warrant has no bond and nationwide pickup.

Cherry stands 5’7” tall, weighs approximately 120 pounds, and he has brown eyes and black hair. His current whereabouts are unknown.
