Myra Roger, 90, passed away Friday, March 1st 2024 of natural causes. Myra was born in North Hamptonshire, England.
While working on her RN license, she met and fell in love with her husband at a Halloween nurse’s dance for the military men. After getting married, she moved to the United States, where her husband was from, moved around, had a few children and eventually landed in Orlando where she stayed for the next 60 years. She went back to school after getting divorced because the US would not accept her RN license from England. She became an LPN working at Orange Memorial, now called Orlando Health with the babies in the nursery. Later moving to Arnold Palmer doing the same thing.
Myra was an amazing lady, she had a heart of gold. She would give you her last dollar and the shirt off of her back. I truly believe she just loved taking care of people and she did it up to her last day. She had 5 children, sad to say, she lost 4 of them.
She leaves behind her daughter Tracy, 59, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was loved by so many people that she will truly be missed.
