Gary Gatto

Gary Gatto, age 79, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2024. He was born on January 21, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of four children to Frank and Sophia Gatto.

In 1968, he married Rose Mary Moore, and they were together for 55 years of marriage. He will be remembered for his quiet nature, positive outlook on life and work ethic. His wife fondly remembers the love thar deepened between them as they grew older together.

He retired after a full career with IBM in Chicago and New Jersey. Gary and his wife moved to Florida in 1995 and he enjoyed the warm weather and taking the courses at State College of Manatee where he completed his associate degree. He loved playing golf and being out in nature.

His passion later in life was doing crossword puzzles, watching movies, and playing games on his iPad and reading books on his Kindle.

He was predeceased in death by his loving parents, his brother Frank and sister Rose Boger.

He is survived by his wife Rose and brother Joe and many nephews and nieces in Illinois.

Gary will be truly missed by his loving family, friends, and all that knew him.
