Ken Williams, age 60, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in his beautiful home, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
Ken was born on February 1st, 1964, in Sanford, Florida, to the late Alice and Ken Williams Sr. He was married to his soul mate and love of his life Jeanne Williams of almost 30 years. A dedicated Program Cyber Security Coordinator at UCF, where his passion for education and commitment to the program shone brightly. He approached his work with diligence and enthusiasm.
He thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the students’ future development, sharing his knowledge and expertise to empower them in their academic and professional journeys. Beyond his professional life, Ken had a zest for life and a wide range of hobbies. He enjoyed Saturday bike rides along the beautiful trails of Winter Garden, going to the movies, cars, the beach, mountains, traveling, and savoring meals at his favorite restaurants.
However, no restaurant could top his famous smoked brisket. Ken was known for his hysterical wit and sarcastic humor. His jokes never missed a punchline, and he brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Everyone who knew Ken would tell you some of their best laughs happened because of him. He was also a passionate sports fan. He loved football and cheered proudly for The Miami Dolphins.
Ken was not only a loving husband but also a devoted father, brother, son, nephew, and friend. Ken’s loyalty and love for his family and friends touched the lives of all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt. Ken is survived by his wife Jeanne; his two daughters, Kaleigh and Claire; his sister, Kristie Wilson; his mother-in-law, Claire LeBaron; his faithful dog, Ellie, and grand dog, Benny, and many loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5125 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32819, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at a location to be determined.
