Lisa Karen Thornton

Lisa Karen Thornton, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2024, at the age of 68 after a long-fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends in her final moments.

Lisa was born to Hillis Fetter and Estie Fetter (ne’e Hawkins) on July 25, 1955, in Orlando, FL. Lisa grew up in Orlando, graduating from Lyman High School in 1973. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. In addition to her role as a devoted mother, Lisa was also a cherished grandmother who delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, showering them with love and affection.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Clarence, her children Michelle Meeks and Brent Meeks, stepdaughter Harmonie Wilson, her grandchildren, Emerson Erwin, Ty Erwin, Elliot Wilson, Winnie Wilson, her sister Cindy Fowler, brother Kirk Fetter and all who knew her.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on April 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. held at The Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 335 East SR 434 Longwood.

Lisa will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for her love, kindness, and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
