The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in a local neighborhood that claimed the life of a man on Sunday night.
At around 9:55 p.m., OCSO deputies responded to the 1000 block of 24th Street in Orlando in reference to shots being fired in the area. When the deputies arrived on scene, they found an adult male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He was later identified as 46-year-old George Samuels III.
“This is still an active and ongoing investigation,” stated OCSO in a media release on Monday morning.
No further details were released by the sheriff’s office.
