The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting at an Orlando apartment complex that claimed the life of a man on Friday night.
At around 11 p.m. on Friday, June 7, OCSO deputies responded to Lake Weston Point Apartments located in the 2300 block of Lake Weston Drive in reference to shots being fired, according to the sheriff’s office.
When deputies arrived, they located a male victim in his 50s who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The victim’s name was not released by law enforcement.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” stated OCSO in a media release on Saturday morning.
No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office regarding the fatal shooting or any potential suspect(s).
