24-year-old accused of stabbing grandmother charged with attempted murder

A 24-year-old Volusia County man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his grandmother during an argument.

According to the Orange City Police Department, officers and local firefighters responded to the Orange City Flats apartment complex located on Enterprise Road at around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, September 13, in reference to a stabbing incident.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with a man, identified as Kiyoshi Adelaide Eliace Fiore, who advised that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with his grandmother.

During the argument, Fiore allegedly “retrieved a knife and stabbed his grandmother,” according to police.

The officers located Fiore’s grandmother at the incident location and transported her to HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford for medical treatment.

No further details were provided by law enforcement regarding the stabbing incident or the extent of the victim’s injuries.

Fiore was arrested and transported to Volusia County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond. At the time of Fiore’s arrest, OCPD stated that its investigators are “working with the State Attorney’s Office on felony charges.”

Jail records show that Fiore is being charged with attempted first-degree murder and attempted false imprisonment.
