Scratch-off ticket worth $1 million sold at Circle K in Orlando

A 68-year-old woman has won a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket that she purchased at a convenience store in Orlando.

Frieda Reyes Ortiz, of Orlando, recently claimed the $1 million prize from the $20 GOLD RUSH LIMITED scratch-off game at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office.

Reyes Ortiz chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.

The winning scratch-off ticket was purchased from the Circle K located at 7530 Forest City Road in Orlando. The convenience store received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The $20 scratch-off game, GOLD RUSH LIMITED, features 32 top prizes of $5 million, 100 prizes of $1 million, and thousands of additional prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.65, according to lottery officials.

Last week, the Florida Lottery announced that an Orlando man won a $1 million prize from a $20 GOLD RUSH LIMITED ticket that he purchased at a local Wawa.
