Karen Ruth Kelly

Karen Ruth Kelly passed away at age 85, April 4, 2024 in Orlando, FL. Karen was the oldest daughter of Juanita Kelly Segreto, a lifelong resident of Fort Dodge, IA and Carlyle X. Kelly.

Karen graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1956. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and received her BA in Communications from Hunter College in New York City.

Karen began her career as a flight attendant for TWA in 1958 retiring in 1993 as the Supervisor of Flight Attendants for international flights in New York City.

Karen traveled the world making many close friends and acquaintances. She retired to Boulder, CO in 1993 where she joined a number of close colleagues and made many new and close friendships.

Throughout her life Karen was admired and loved by those who knew her, a dear, dear lady!

Karen is survived by a nephew, David Kelly and a niece, Erin Kelly. Her sister Kathy has recently passed away. Karen was buried at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge, next to her brother James Kelly.
