A Sanford woman has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend.
Shortly after midnight on Friday, January 31, Sanford Police Department officers responded to the area of Wyndham Crest Boulevard in reference to a shooting with injuries.
According to SPD, an investigation revealed that prior to shots being fired, 34-year-old Sara Elizabeth Jameson and her boyfriend, 31-year-old Brandon Michael Sullivan, had gotten into an altercation.
During that altercation, Jameson allegedly shot and killed Sullivan.
On Tuesday, February 4, SPD detectives arrested Jameson for one count of second-degree homicide. She was transported to the John E. Polk Correctional Facility, where she is currently being held without bond.
No further details were released by law enforcement regarding the homicide investigation or Jameson’s alleged involvement in the fatal shooting.
Seminole County Court records show that Jameson is scheduled to make her first appearance in court at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5.
