A man was hospitalized on Friday morning after being struck by a SunRail train in Winter Park.
The crash occurred shortly after 7:10 a.m. on Friday, march 14, at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and Barnum Avenue, according to the Winter Park Police Department.
WPPD stated that the man was crossing the intersection when he was hit by the SunRail train. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
No further details were provided by police regarding the man’s identity or the severity of his injuries.
The Florida Department of Transportation stated that a total of 30 passengers and three crew members were on board the SunRail train at the time of the crash. They were not injured.
Due to the crash, several SunRail trains experienced delays on Friday morning.
