The Orlando Magic have unveiled a new “star-centric” logo, along with three new uniforms, that honor the team’s rich history.
On Tuesday, June 3, the Orlando Magic showcased their new logo and three new uniforms during a special ceremony held at the Kia Center (400 W Church Street in downtown Orlando).

“With the team and Magic brand continuing to grow, the new logo fondly revisits the Magic’s history making an iconic and fan-favorite franchise symbol ‘the star’ once again,” reads a statement from the Orlando Magic. “The logo evolves with a nod towards nostalgia featuring a legendary, star-centric logo displaying a ‘reach for the stars’ mentality to match the team’s championship ideals.”
According to the team, the new logo incorporates the stars with a cascading star trail. Also, in the wordmarks, the star replaces the “A” in both “Orlando” and “Magic.”

The updated look includes the team’s secondary logo, with the iconic star located behind the ball appearing to be in motion, thus “reflecting the team propelling forward and building on the heritage and history of the Magic from its birth in 1989,” according to the team.

The Orlando Magic have three new uniforms – Association (white), Icon (blue), and Statement (black) – that honor the history of the team’s most iconic jerseys while “ushering in a new era of Orlando Magic basketball.”
The Association and Icon editions of the uniform have bold pinstripes, along with the updated Magic and Orlando wordmarks. The design of the Statement uniform, which is the only Jordan brand in the lineup, is influenced by the team’s original on-court warm-up jackets with bold pinstripes and the new star-centric icon on the shorts.
Magic Executive Vice President of Marketing and Social Responsibility Shelly Wilkes said on Tuesday that the team’s mission is “to be world champions on and off the court,” adding that the new logo and uniforms are “an extension of that mission.”
Wilkes further stated that the modernized logo and new uniforms “signify the beginning of a new era of excellence for the Magic while paying homage to the past.”
