The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a 40-year-old Kissimmee woman on Wednesday morning.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at the intersection of Florida Parkway and E Birchwood Circle in Osceola County.
FHP stated that the Kissimmee woman may have been running on Florida Parkway, near the E Birchwood Circle intersection, when she was struck by an unknown vehicle in the northbound lane. After the collision, the vehicle fled from the scene of the crash.
The woman was transported to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
