A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing on a roadway in Osceola County on Wednesday.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, a small Cessna plane landed on S Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee, near the intersection of Ham Brown Road, on Wednesday, July 30.

During the landing, the plane struck a car, but there were no injuries reported.

The plane took off from Kissimmee Gateway Airport (401 Dyer Boulevard) at around 11:20 a.m., and the aircraft landed on the roadway shortly afterward.

The plane had two occupants at the time of the incident.

“We urge drivers to use caution in the area and remain alert for emergency personnel and ongoing activity,” said OCSO in a social media post on Wednesday afternoon.

No further details were provided by law enforcement. The incident is currently being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Earlier this month, a pilot made an emergency landing on State Road 44 in Volusia County.

Another pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in March after experiencing engine failure while approaching DeLand Airport.
