An Orlando restaurant serving Asian fusion cuisine was temporarily closed for a day after an inspector found a dead rodent and dozens of rodent droppings.

King Bao (710 N Mills Avenue in Orlando) was closed on Friday, October 17, after it was cited for three health code violations, according to a report from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Two of those violations were related to rodent activity in the restaurant. Specifically, a dead rodent was found underneath an air conditioning unit, and approximately 50 rodent droppings were found nearby.

The report stated that the dead rodent was “discarded,” and the area surrounding the air conditioning unit was “sanitized with bleach.”

An emergency order was recommended following the first inspection, which temporarily closed the facility.

King Bao was reinspected on Saturday, October 18, and the restaurant was permitted to reopen after no violations were found.
