A Winter Park man who pleaded guilty to multiple counts of producing material depicting the sexual abuse of children has been sentenced to 170 years in federal prison.
On Thursday, U.S District Judge Carlos E. Mendoza sentenced 40-year-old David Andrew Ogden to 170 years behind bars for producing child sexual abuse material (five counts) and possessing child sexual abuse material (one count).
Ogden was indicted on the charges in January of 2025.
According to court records, on September 8, 2024, Ogden entered an apartment without permission where three minor children were sleeping. He then began touching two of the children and used his cellphone to produce child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of them.
Ogden was arrested later that night, and a search warrant was executed on his cellphone. Investigators discovered additional files depicting the sexual abuse of two other minor children, which Ogden had produced in 2022 and 2024.
Additionally, Ogden’s phone contained over 1,000 AI-generated CSAM images and 10 AI-generated videos, some of which portrayed the sexual abuse of children between the ages of two and six years old.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation into this case, with assistance provided by the Winter Park Police Department.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
