91 years old Born May 1, 1934, passed away December 26, 2025, leaving behind a
legacy of Love, Strength and Cherished Memories.
She was the Beloved Wife of Norman DeLisle Wight for 61 years until he passed
on January 23, 2016, Devoted Mother to 3 Children: Ronald Wight of Deltona, FL
(wife, Cheri); Suzanne Hemmert of Longwood, FL & DeLisle Wight of Apopka, FL
(wife, Lisa). Cherished Grandmother of 7: Derek Wight of St. Cloud, FL (wife,
Heather); Andrew Wight of Hamilton, OH (wife, Jeanette); Ashtyn Jones of Port
Orange, FL, Taylor Hemmert of Longwood, FL (Fiancé-Cameron Bartlett); Kaley,
Collin & Marissa Wight of Apopka, FL and Loving Great-Grandmother of 8: Emily,
Austin, Savannah & Lily Wight and Jackson Jones, and Eve, Lula & Jett Wight.
She had many nieces & nephews in the Cayman Islands and Canada that she
loved dearly.
Born in Georgetown, British Guyana and the daughter of Christina & John DeSouza Gaspar with 7 siblings. She lived in Guyana where she married Norman on June 20, 1953. She was a wonderful Wife & devoted Mother taking care of her family. They moved from Guyana to Canada in 1962 and then to the USA in 1966 settling in Casselberry, FL.
The family became US Citizens in 1971, she was a resident of Casselberry for 59 years. To her family she was known as Grams, a bright light that was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed dearly. We know she is now reunited with the love of her life Norman in the heavenly realm.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life in her honor in the near
future.
