The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a homeless man who reportedly vanished after being released from jail nearly one year ago.
According to VCSO, Randy Richmond was last seen/heard from on February 8, 2025, which is when he was released from jail.
“(Richmond) hasn’t had any contact with any family members since then, which is unusual,” added the sheriff’s office.
In addition, Richmond has several unspecified health issues that have caused his family members to be concerned for his well-being.
Richmond is homeless in the New Smyrna Beach area, and he does not have a vehicle. VCSO stated that deputies have checked the area, along with local hospitals, though they have been unable to locate Richmond.
