Jenny Elizabeth Rivas, 73, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on May 22, 1952, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, she was the beloved daughter of Luz and Eduardo Gonzalez. At the age of 15, Jenny immigrated to the United States, first settling in New York City, where she later met her devoted husband, Hector Rivas. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two children, Alex and Joann.
After moving to Florida, Jenny became the proud owner and leader of her own cleaning business, JDB Cleaning. Through her work, she built decades‑long relationships with clients who grew to love her deeply and soon became like family.
Jenny was known for her generous spirit, her unwavering faith, and her love for service. She gave freely—often more than she had—and lived out the true character of Christ in all she did. A dedicated Christian, she found joy in church activities, family gatherings, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Hector Rivas; her children, Alex Jaya and Joann Castanon; and her grandchildren: Andrew Jaya, Kendrick Castanon, Dominique Catalano, Giulianna Jaya, Jared Zervos, Aiden Figueroa, Ethan Jaya, and Jayla Figueroa. She is also survived by her siblings—Juan Gonzalez, Bella Valentin, Betsy Tehrani, David Gonzalez, and George Gonzalez—and by her mother, Luz Gonzalez.
