Orange County residents looking to spruce up their yards will have the opportunity to receive up to two free trees next weekend.
Orange County government officials are partnering with the UF/IFAS Extension Orange County to host the latest “Adopt-a-Tree” giveaway event on Saturday, June 6, at Barnett Park, which is located at 4801 W Colonial Drive in Orlando.
The event is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., and trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Due to high demand, county officials highly recommend that residents arrive before 8 a.m.
While advanced registration is not required to receive the trees, individuals must provide proof of Orange County residency to participate, such as a driver’s license or utility bill.
If anyone has questions regarding the upcoming Adopt-a-Tree event, please contact UF/IFAS Extension Orange County at 407-254-9200.
