Two people were hospitalized in critical condition on Saturday afternoon after their small plane crashed in Kissimmee.
Kissimmee Fire Department crews responded to the area of W Clay Street and S John Young Parkway shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, in reference to reports of an aircraft crash, according to KFD.
The incident prompted a multi-agency response, bringing in assistance from the Kissimmee Police Department and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Since the crash site was located in an area with dense vegetation and limited access, first responders utilized aviation support from the sheriff’s office to help guide them to the downed aircraft.
Upon reaching the crash site, crews located the plane, which was identified as a Cessna C150.
Emergency crews treated the two occupants aboard the plane and transported them to a local hospital in critical condition.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash.
