It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend – Patrick Thomas Eckley – who passed away at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He shared 41 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Doris. Together, they built a life grounded in love, resilience, laughter, and unwavering partnership. He was a proud and loving father to his two daughters, Jacklyn Pascale (Gregg Pascale) and Darbie Parulan (Kenny Parulan), who were the light of his life.
His greatest joy was being a grandfather to his four cherished granddaughters: Zoie (15), Khloie (10), and Torie (4), daughters of Darbie and Kenny, and Mia (11), daughter of Jacklyn and Gregg. He also leaves behind his beloved grand dog, Lilly (5).
He is reunited in eternal peace with those who passed before him, including his parents, Mary, Jim, and Lorraine, as well as his dear brother Mike, his sisters Kathy and Donna, his great nephew, Cade, and brother-in-law, Duane.
He was a dog lover and held a special place in his heart for the dogs who crossed the rainbow bridge before him—Bullet, Brandy, Sophie, Gizmo, and Jeter. They were family to him, and he shared a deep, unconditional bond with them. It brings comfort to imagine them welcoming him home with wagging tails and familiar love.
He is survived by his loving siblings: sisters Renie, Ginny (Scott), Lisa Thomas, brothers Pete (Jenny), Craig (Sissy), and many nephews and nieces. Family meant everything to him, and he treasured the bond they shared.
He was a man of deep faith, devoted to his Catholic upbringing, and will be remembered for his strength, kindness, quiet wisdom, and the profound love he had for his family. Even in the face of illness, he showed remarkable courage and grace, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance, loyalty, and love.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort knowing his love surrounds us always. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and endlessly loved.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life during visitation on Friday, June 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at DeGusipe Funeral Home, Maitland, Florida (9001 N Orlando Ave, Maitland, FL 32751).
Flowers and condolences may be sent to DeGuspie Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 20, at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church (1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714).
