A Volusia County man nicknamed “Tony Montana” is facing a lengthy federal prison sentence after a jury found him guilty of selling methamphetamine and firearms from his home.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced the conviction of 54-year-old Port Orange resident Anthony Joseph Brulewicz (also known as “Tony Montana”). Federal jurors found him guilty of distribution or possession with intent to distribute controlled substances (four counts), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (four counts), and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

According to court records, which include testimony and evidence presented at trial, Brulewicz met with a confidential informant on five separate occasions. During those law enforcement-controlled purchases, Brulewicz sold the informant a total of six firearms, which included three pistols, two shotguns, and a rifle, along with approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office states that the above transactions occurred at Brulewicz’s residence. In addition, Brulewicz reportedly “used, carried or possessed a firearm” during one of the “drug trafficking offenses.”

Brulewicz was indicted in December 2025, and he was charged as an armed career criminal.

A sentencing hearing for Brulewicz is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 31, 2026. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years, up to 205 years, in federal prison.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance provided by the Port Orange Police Department.
