Titusville police are searching for two suspects who reportedly fired multiple shots into an occupied residence early Saturday morning.
According to the Titusville Police Department, officers responded to the 1400 block of Thomas Street at around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, in reference to shots being fired in the area.
An investigation reportedly revealed that two unknown suspects walked up to the residence and fired multiple rounds into the home while people were inside.
“Fortunately, although the residence was occupied at the time of the shooting, no injuries were reported,” said the agency in a social media post.
After the shooting, the suspects allegedly fled the area on foot and got into a waiting vehicle. Detectives are currently looking for a “newer-model white sedan,” which they believe could “possibly be a Mercedes-Benz or Lincoln.”
Interim Titusville Police Chief Tyler Wright released the following statement:
“Firing into an occupied home demonstrates a reckless disregard for human life and places innocent families at unnecessary risk. The safety of our residents remains our highest priority, and we are committed to identifying those responsible and holding them fully accountable.”
Police are urging area residents and business owners to check their security and doorbell cameras for any footage captured around the time of the shooting, noting that even seemingly insignificant clips could provide valuable leads.
