A 47-year-old Orlando man was killed after his vehicle left Pine Hills Road and crashed into a utility pole and tree.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Pine Hills Road, just south of White Heron Drive on Tuesday, January 3, at around 3:58 a.m.
The man was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram northbound on N Pine Hills Road when, for unknown reasons, he ran off the roadway in a northwesterly direction. As a result, the truck struck a mailbox, cable box, utility pole, tree, fire hydrant, and a fence before coming to a stop.
The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.
