Ivonne L. Munguia

Ivonne L. Munguia, 63, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. With her loving family with her until the very end.

Ivonne was born on December 22, 1959, in La Ceiba, Honduras. As a child, she was adventurous and carried a rebellious soul. She moved to the States and wasn’t afraid of the challenges that laid ahead. Her determination paid off when she became an American citizen.

She was superstitious and told others of their horoscopes. She was deep in astrology and the power of gemstones. She interpreted dreams and believed in karma, spirits, and psyches. She was a beauty guru who loved perfumes and flowers. She hugged the biggest trees. She had an emotional bond with trees as she believed that she was acknowledging ancestors with lifelong stories. The bigger the tree, the richer its history. Above all, she had an incredibly strong faith with God. She read the bible daily and never lost faith in him during her 14-year battle with breast cancer. During her final moments she still had God in her heart. She was deeply spiritual and religious, person with an eccentric soul.

She was kind to others even when facing her own battles. She donated to the homeless and provided food to those in need. She reached out to family members regularly to check up on their wellbeing. She would put aside her own needs to make sure those around her were taken care of. Her son, Brian, was her world and priority. Her nephew, Ramon, was a second son to her. She was the definition of selflessness and adored children.

She was a superwoman. She took pride in her work and her home. She was a warrior unlike any person we will ever know. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her son, Brian, her mother, Reyna, her sister, Dulce, her brother, Julio, and her nephew (son), Ramon.

Ivonne’s funeral arrangements are in the caring guidance of Winter Oak Funeral Home and Cremations, 1132 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL 34787
