Town hall meetings for Orange County Vision 2050

Orange County government will host a series of town hall meetings for residents interested in learning about and sharing feedback on Vision 2050, the county’s comprehensive growth plan.

Over the next several months, the county will host town hall meetings throughout the region to inform residents about the principles of Vision 2050. Each town hall meeting will be tailored to its region and community and will consist of brief staff presentations, question and answer sessions, and panel discussions.

The first of three townhall meetings will take place on Tuesday, May 9, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Orlando located at 16796 Davenport Road in Winter Garden.

During the town hall meetings, county officials will discuss how the plan “strives to protect natural resources and habitats, respects the diversity and character of established communities, increases transportation choices, and encourages housing that meets the needs of every family,” according to a statement issued by county officials.

The second meeting will take place at Goldenrod Park Recreation Center (4863 N Goldenrod Road, Winter Park) on Wednesday, May 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The last meeting will take place at the end of the month on Thursday, May 30, at 7 p.m. at the Audubon Park Church (3219 Chelsea Street, Orlando).

Additional meetings will be scheduled throughout June and July. For more information on the plan, or for a complete list of scheduled meetings, visit the Orange County Florida Vision 2050 website.
