Apopka shaved ice, dessert shop reopening interior damaged by kitchen flood

A local business will celebrate its grand re-opening after a broken water line flooded their kitchen and forced them to close the interior earlier this month.

Vampire Penguin Shaved Snow and Desserts, which is located at 515 N Park Avenue in Apopka, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

According to the business, the first 100 guests of the day will receive VIP cards that are good for 10% an item for the rest of the year.

The dessert shop prides itself on providing a different, softer shaved ice experience, equating it to “light, fluffy snow.” It offers a wide variety of toppings, fruits, candies, and sauces, to name a few.

Customers can customize their own shaved ices, or order from a list of pre-made concoctions, including the Orange Dreamscapade, which features orange snow with ice cream in the middle and whipped cream on top.
