Food Network judge opening first Indian restaurant at Disney Springs

A chef known for being a judge on Food Network’s competition series Chopped, will open the first Indian restaurant at Disney Springs.

Maneet Chauhan, who was honored with a James Beard Foundation Media Award in 2012, announced this week that she will open EET at Disney Springs later this year.

“See you guys at Disney Springs soon,” said Chauhan in a social media post about the opening.

Few details have been released on the restaurant or its menu, but it will feature modern Indian cuisine.

Chauhan has worked as an executive chef at serveral notable restaurants across the country, including Vermilion locations in Chicago and New York City. In 2014, she opened her first restaurant, Chauhan Ale and Masala House, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Disney Springs currently offers dozens of food options, from carts and kiosks to sit-down restaurants. Among the 60+ restaurants, none serve Indian cuisine, making EET the first of its kind at the complex.
