Volunteers sought for Thornton Park clean-up event

Volunteers are needed to help keep Thornton Park trash-free and beautiful.

Volunteers are invited to gather on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Island Time, which is located at 712 E. Washington Street in Orlando, to clean up the neighborhood.

Those who attend will pick up supplies when checking in at registration, then break up into groups and head out from the host business. From there, volunteers will clean up discarded trash, cigarette butts, microplastics, and other litter that could enter local waterways.
