3 wanted for vandalizing Sanford business

Local police are trying to identify three individuals wanted in connection with an act of vandalism that caused “extensive damage” to the parking lot at a Sanford business.

According to the Sanford Police Department, on August 14, 2023, the individuals featured in this story were observed on video surveillance in the warehouse parking lot of Industrial Lighting Products, which is located at 3224 McCraney Loop in Sanford.

According to authorities, surveillance video shows that on the day of the incident, a red Toyota Tundra backed up into the ramp of the business’s loading dock. The vehicle rolled back into the metal shutter door and four males exited.

The males looked at the damage, then attached “a wooden pallet to the hitch of the truck” and drove around the establishment “recklessly,” according to a statement issued by SPD.

The action caused “extensive damage to the pavement” of the business.

The driver, who is not pictured in this story, was identified. Police say they are still attempting to identify the other three males, however.
