Early voting to elect next Mayor of Orlando begins Saturday

Early voting to decide Orlando’s next mayor will begin this Saturday, with four candidates vying for the office.

The city of Orlando will host its general election on Tuesday, November 7 for the mayor’s office. Residents living in districts 4 and 6 will also vote on their next city commissioner.

According to the city, early voting will begin on Saturday, October 28, and will take place through Sunday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. at the following three locations:

  1. Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office (119 W Kaley St)
  2. Alafaya Branch Library (12000 East Colonial Dr)
  3. Valencia College – Lake Nona Campus (12350 Narcoossee Rd)

The following four candidates are running to become the next Mayor of Orlando (To read more about any of the candidates, click on their name):

  • Steve Dixon, a Marine whose worked in the defense industry for over three decades
  • Buddy Dyer, who has been Mayor of Orlando since 2003
  • Samuel B. Ings, a retired captain of the Orlando Police Department with 30 years of service
  • Tony Vargas, a fitness professional and business owner

Polls for the general election will open citywide on Tuesday, November 7, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
