Osceola Magic giving 1,000 free replica jerseys away during first home game

Osceola officials gathered this week to celebrate the relocation of the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate to its new home in Kissimmee.

The Osceola Magic will play its first home game next Thursday, November 19 at the Osceola Heritage Park. On Tuesday, county officials and representatives from the team cut a ribbon at the park, which is located at 1875 Silver Spur Lane in Kissimmee.

According to the organization, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive an Osceola Magic replica jersey. The team officially kicks off its season on Friday, November 10, against the Mexico City Capitanes.

The ribbon cutting comes almost exactly seven months after the Magic first announced that it was rebranding the Lakeland Magic.

The NBA G League is the NBA’s official developmental league. It is tasked with preparing players, coaches, officials, trainers, and front office staff for potential careers in the NBA, and also functions as the league’s research and developmental laboratory.

During the past season, seven members of the Orlando Magic spent time playing with the team’s G League affiliate, including R.J. Hampton, Admiral Schofield, and Jonathan Issac, among others.
