Cheerleading championship competition coming to Kissimmee

The Cheerfest Nationals East Coast Championships are coming to Kissimmee this weekend for a multi-day competition.

The event will be on Saturday, January 20, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, January 21, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Silver Spurs Arena, which is located at 1875 Silver Spurs Ln. in Kissimmee.

The East Coast Championships will feature competitions in multiple divisions, with every athlete on a first-place team in each division receiving champion jackets. A commemorative memento and athlete gift will be given to every athlete.

Full, half, and partial paid bids will go to the Grand Nationals. Two full-paid and nine at-large bids will go to the Allstar World Championship. Awards will be doled out during each day.

Tickets are $25 plus a service fee per day. Children ages 4 and under are free. Parking is $10 per car at Osceola Heritage Park. The facility is cashless, so only credit cards are accepted.
