El Chinchorreo temporarily closed after failed health inspection

El Chinchorreo was forced to temporarily close the doors on its east Orlando restaurant after a failed health inspection last week.

Located at 929 N Semoran Boulevard, the restaurant was forced to close on Wednesday, April 6, after a health inspector from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited multiple health code violations.

Among the violations were four considered high priority, including the presence of rodents. According to the health inspector’s report, nearly 100 rat droppings were found throughout multiple areas of the restaurant.

Additionally, a dead rodent was found in a trap next to the rotisserie oven in the kitchen.

The inspector cited multiple other violations, including food temperature control issues and raw animal foods stored improperly.

Upon reinspection the following day, only 10 of the 15 violations remained and the business was allowed to reopen.
