Teresa Rager Rausch, 65, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022. She was born on January 8, 1957, in Macon, GA, to Earl Seldon Rager and Clare Thompson Rager, and was raised in Orlando by Clare and step-father Cdr. James Coleman Clarke (USN, Ret.), with sisters Angela S Rager Reinhardt and Marsha C Rager.
Teresa graduated Lyman High School in 1975. She attended the University of Florida, where she was an active member of the Delta Gamma sorority, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in General and Business Education in 1981. Teresa entered the teaching profession as a secondary-school instructor in business law, economics, and accounting. She joined the Kayser-Roth corporation where she became a sales representative and key account manager, specializing in merchandise training and management. Later in life, she was a part owner of Star Property Leases, Inc of Orlando.
Teresa married her childhood neighbor Michael D Rausch in October of 1985; they bought their first home together on Lake Irma in Orlando. If you know Teresa, that was the beginning of many ambitions. She started each new year with a goal that would quickly turn into the next big project. She was hands-on and engaged in planning, building, remodeling, landscaping, and all things that enhanced the world around her. Teresa left the work-force when she became mother to her sons, Kevin C Rausch in 1989, and Keith P Rausch in 1994. Teresa and Mike moved their family to Winter Garden, where they built their dream home and raised their children. Her life revolved around animals, gardening and raising their children. Anything was possible as long as she and Mike worked on it together. They were inseparable, a bond again reinforced when Teresa required a kidney transplant, and her perfect match was Mike.
Teresa is survived by her husband Michael, her two sons Kevin and Keith, her mother Clare Clarke, and her two sisters Angela Reinhardt (Jay) and Marsha Rager.
Celebration of life on March 20, 2022 from 2pm to 5pm at A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations, 910 W Michigan St, Orlando, FL 32805. Flowers are welcome, or donations made to the Central Florida AdventHealth Foundation supporting the Transplant Institute.
