Two Orlando teenagers were ejected and killed after the vehicle in which they were riding crashed into a tree in Osceola County.
The fatal accident took place near the intersection of Seralago Boulevard and Osceola Parkway around 9:55 p.m. on Sunday, April 24.
A 22-year-old Orlando woman was driving a 2021 Chevy Equinox northbound on Seralago with six additional occupants in the vehicle.
According to witnesses, the Equinox traveled through a grass median and across the southbound lanes before leaving the roadway and striking a tree.
Two of the passengers, a 16-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl, were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced deceased on the scene. According to the FHP report, the teenagers were not wearing seatbelts.
The other five occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to the manufacturer, the seating capacity for a the Equinox is five.
The crash remains under investigation and the identities of those involved have not been released, per FHP policy.
