Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run accident that critically injured a 39-year-old Kissimmee woman.
The incident took place on Friday, May 13 near the intersection of Vineland Road and Kyngs Heath Road, when the woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, authorities are unsure whether the woman was walking or standing in the northbound outside lane.
The woman’s body came to rest on the outside grass shoulder of Vineland Road and was located around 7:05 a.m., when she was transported as a trauma alert with life threatening injuries to Osceola Regional Hospital.
Police believe the crash may have occurred prior to sunrise on Friday, and are looking for a white, Honda sedan that could possibly be involved.
