Construction begins on new Winn Dixie at Apopka City Center

Construction has begun on a Winn Dixie grocery store at the new Apopka City Center.

Located at 611 East Main Street in Apopka, the construction on the supermarket began last week. Construction on the center itself began in February.

The project calls for a main store over 47,000 square-feet and a convenience or liquor store attached to the main store that is just under 5,900 square-feet. Design on the new building was completed in February, with bidding taking place shortly thereafter.

Winn Dixie currently operates around 16 locations in Orange County. The additional location in Apopka will be the first in the northwestern portion of the county.
