Jorge Alberto DeCastro

Jorge Alberto DeCastro of Cassleberry, FL, passed away tragically on June 1, 2022.

He was born in Jatibonico, Cuba, coming to the United States with his fearless mother to join family in Miami, FL, in 1962. He spent his early childhood years in Queens, NY, before moving to Greenlawn, NY. He became involved in the engineering industry working in technical fields of laser development and electronics engineering among others. He moved to Cassleberry in 1990.

In addition to being interested in all-things technology, he was a creative musician known for his guitar talents and through the years could often be found playing impromptu gigs. He was curious, thoughtful and had an infectious sense of humor.

Beloved brother of Shawn Creedon (Corinna) and Maria Creedon, to whom he was a never-ending source of inspiration. Adored uncle of Dean, Roarke, Grant, and Quinn. Son of Lilia and Abilio, stepson of Daniel Creedon. Dear nephew of Jose Miguel and the late Jorge Sariego, Tamara Armellini, and Abe Jurado. He is survived by loving cousins, and a host of long-time friends.
