Altamonte Springs police looking for missing 13-year-old girl

UPDATE: Brown was located on June 27, 2022, at approximately 11:54 p.m. in Osceola County. She has since been reunited with her family.

Altamonte Springs police are asking the public for any information on the whereabouts of a 13-year-old girl that has been missing since Sunday evening.

Anaysia Brown was reported missing to the Altamonte Springs Police Department just after midnight on Monday, June 27 by her stepfather, Zaccheus Smith.

Smith says that he last saw Brown at approximately 7 p.m. when he left their home.

When he returned to the home at 8:30 p.m., he noticed the front door to the home was open and Brown was not inside.

Just before 1 a.m., officers canvassed the area and were unable to locate Brown, who stands 5’3, weighs 110 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Brown’s mother and stepfather said the behavior is “unusual” for the girl. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt with black shorts and a black, religious head covering.
