Gregory Shields, lovingly known to everyone by Greg, 67, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away on July 20th, 2022 in Orlando, Florida.

Greg was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Alfonso and Agnes Nettie Shields on December 7th 1954. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War period, and was honorably discharged. He was extremely proud of being a Veteran!

Greg met the true love of his life, his high school sweetheart Mary, and they were married on June 5th 1976. They both attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington the same year they were married. Greg & Mary were always inseparable and have enjoyed their lives with each other for over 46 years. They moved to Florida in 2004.

Greg is survived by his Wife Mary Lee Shields, brother in law Robert L. Berry of Kissimmee, extended family Stevie & Nina Hunt & family of Kissimmee, brothers David Shields (Brenda) of Atlanta, Neloso Frazier, George Frazier, niece Catherine Colton of Atlanta and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Shields & Agnes Nettie Frazier, mother in law Martha “Mother” Berry, brother Tommie Lee Green and his beloved, and most cherished sister Phyllis Frazier.

Mary, his wife, “Snoop” or “Medicine Girl” as Greg laughingly called her asks for herself & on the families behalf for everyone’s prayers for strength, peace & focused light during this difficult time.

San Juan Funeral Home will be handling the Veteran cremation arrangements for Mr. Shields.
