Free backpacks, school supplies at Apopka Memorial Middle School this weekend

Free backpacks and school supplies will be dolled out to students this weekend at the Apopka Memorial Middle School.

The Apopka Police Department and Orange County Public Schools collected over 300 backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other school supplies for distribution to local students on Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the middle school, which is located at 425 N. Park Avenue in Apopka.

Children must be present in order to receive a backpack or supplies.
