Joseph Gallager 46, passed away July 20, 2022, in Orlando, Florida. Born January 10, 1976 in Lemoore, California, his family eventually settled on the Gulf Coast of Florida in 1980. After graduating from Eckerd College with a degree in creative writing, he made Orlando his home for over 20 years.
Joe was paralyzed as an infant, but God had given him to an amazing mom who fought tirelessly to ensure Joe experienced a full and vibrant life. And he himself refused to be limited. He traveled to a lot of states and a few other countries, defying many odds along the way. He loved stories and self-published a comic that he planned to sell at MegaCon 2005. It sold one copy because he stayed home instead to propose to his future wife. Intelligent and quick-witted, he enjoyed lively discussions about the merits and disappointments of the entertainment industry, especially anything related to Disney, Marvel, Star Trek, and Star Wars.
Joe made an impression on everyone he met and is greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16+ years, Jennifer (Roberts) Gallagher; mother, Carol Gallagher; brother, Bart Stoddard; dad, Edwin Stoddard; father-in-law, Dana Roberts; brother-in-law, Patrick Roberts; sister-in-law, Amy Roberts; and quite a few aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward F. Gallagher, who was also well-loved and very much missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 1pm at Calvary Chapel Orlando, 5015 Goddard Avenue, Orlando, FL 32804.
